That’s brutal. I know that feeling. My parents got me a Sega Dreamcast Christmas of 2002 because they were so cheap. Unfortunately only my older cousin had one and no one at school had one. Everyone else had the PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube.19 years later, I’m still the only one with a Dreamcast.

i'm so excited for GT7 after basically mastering the previous ones, but oh man that PS5... thing's a behemoth! if they release a slim model i'd be much more about that
Yeah, the PS5 is physically massive. I had never seen one in person until I bought one. I couldn’t believe how big the box was. Waiting for a slim is a wise move if you have the patience.

i can’t imagine you’re super old or anything. I’m 32 and feel old as dirt sometimes. The years go by too fast. It’s like the years blew by throughout my 20’s. Everything is really slow hen you’re stuck at work or school all day. Then it moves way too fast outside of that.

I'm 54 so not really old, but the aches and pains have started to hit me. Also I get fatigued much faster. I used to be a night owl but now I'm done by 10pm. I used to be physically fit and so energetic in my 20's, I could hop a 10 ft wall and climb any fence. Now I look at the 4 ft gate in my front yard, think about hoping over it, then say "nah"...

You’re not old at all. As long as you’re enjoying life, that’s what matters. You can always hop fences in a video game instead to save energy.

in years past it would've been somewhat of a non-concern, but seeing how the latest forza horizon has gone i'd be a bit worried to miss out on the very initial moments of the game's release considering it's not the old days of buying a game and that's it... i'm happy i was playing horizon 5 from its initial release since through OTA updates the current version of the game is massively nerfed compared to how it started, and i'd be concerned in the same way for GT7
and the changes made really only make it much more annoying for people just starting to play, for those of us who played since the beginning back in early november we pretty much already have everything we want... but anyone more recently starting they're basically gonna have to grind and grind for not much reward
Ugh I wish it would come out for PC... another Sim Racer here! Definitely not selling a kidney for a PS5 just for it... guess it's ACC until then!

Nice setup! I also play on PC, and I was considering doing a surround monitor setup like you have, but after trying VR glasses, it's just not the same.
He's 7, little young still. I was going to buy it so he and I can play racing games together...I'll come across one eventually.
At 7 he might be a little young for this one but Circuit Superstars is a good little racer that isn't too complicated and you play with a controller. I'm pretty sure you can play head to head but I'm not certain.

That’s a really good point. I didn’t even consider that but I’ve been through that on a few games on older games like Super Smash Bros on the Wii U. I was being cheap with Forza Horizon 5 and didn’t get it on release. Wouldn’t playing the game with the internet turned off prevent that?

i only downloaded the game over gamepass, so you need to be on the internet just for the xbox to verify your gamepass membership before the game starts... and if there's an update released you're forced into downloading it before playing
also i mostly do online racing if i'm playing so that wouldn't work too well with the internet off lol
