'04 LS430 with 6 speed auto!!! 5.9secs!!!
4.3-liter, four-cam, 32-valve 90° V8 engine. Certified Ultra-Low Emission Vehicle (U-LEV)
- 290 hp @ 5,600 rpm, 320 lb-ft @ 3,400 rpm torque
- Continuously Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i)
- 0 to 60 in 5.9 seconds [1]
- 1/4-mile acceleration: 14.5 seconds [1]
Six-speed sequential-shift automatic Electronically Controlled Transmission with intelligence (ECT-i), and power and economy switch
Holy smoke!!! Imagine if this tranny was placed in the GS430! .5 sec improvement for the LS with less horses and torque and more weight. The GS430 could probably do 5.3 or 5.2 with this tranny which should be good enough to compete with BMWs upcoming 645ci and 545i estimated at 5.5 secs (conservative).
I want that 6 speed with E-shift (hopefully) on the new GS, whenever and whatever that will be!!!
