It's probably just going to be a V6 and EV version like the G80 it shares the platform with. The G90 is the last new Genesis model that will have an ICE engine before they go all-electric.

Lexus is trying so hard to push that sluggish hybrid version of the LS500...

You ain't kidding! A 2022 AWD G90 with the V8 and every option is just a hair over $80k, presumably the new one will be somewhere in this ballpark. A bare-bones RWD Panamera starts at $88k. The nicely-equipped (but by no means maxed-out) V6 Panamera 4 I just configured a moment ago comes to a bit over $135k.

Oh and it's TINY, from both an interior and trunk perspective. I was almost given one once as a rental (had reserved a 7-series). We could get ONE of our suitcases in the trunk area, but only if we had bungees to hold the hatch down, because it wouldn't come within a foot of closing.

So yeah, definitely not a good comparison.

Panamera is an E-Class size car so I don't know why it's even in this conversation.

Back to the G90, we get some slightly better views of the interior, but with all the gloss black trim I assume this is a base model- pretty bland compared to the current lineup of Genesis interiors. I get that the G90 is trying to go after the whole "minimalist" trend like the recent S-Class and Range Rover but there isn't much in here so far that separates it aesthetically from an Ioniq 5.

The video confirms that it does have the new air suspension, but we already knew it would.

You have to wait to see the interior when its not covered up, and not being lit by a cameras exterior light.

Is this the first Hyundai product that has had air suspension?

LOL. Well, I’m just wondering if any Hyundai product has ever had air suspension….so Genesis included which I already know has never had it….maybe some Hyundai models from the past might have offered it. As you know, a Lexus is just a Toyota…just as a Genesis is a Hyundai.

Don't forget the Panamera comes in long wheel base form.

So does the E-Class, we just don't get it as it's exclusively for China.

The closest equivalent to a LWB Panamera sold here is the Volvo S90, which itself was originally aimed at the Chinese market in LWB form, and the now-cancelled Infiniti Q70 LWB. All of them are still just executive midsize sedans underneath.

The E-class long wheel base does not crest 200" in length like the Panamera long wheelbase does at 204". It's also wider, lining up to the width of the Panamera lines up to the S-class. The Panamera executive was developed specifically to prevent people from choosing a S-class and 7-series. Porsche was very clear about that when they launched the Executive trim for the last-generation.

The actual wheelbases of the LWB E-Class and Panamera are less than an inch apart. They are very, very comparable size-wise. And the width of the Panamera comes not from the cabin but from the bulging haunches, a LWB Panamera is in no way comparable to anything in the category of the S-Class when it comes to cabin space.

Hard pass, looks way too goofy.

The current one looks great, not sure why they changed it.

The current one is really awkward in some ways.
