It's nowhere close if you look at the official images from Lexus.
There are two pictures from Lexus so I'm not sure where you're basing this from. One is of the headlights which look identical. I'd say the rims and other minor trim pieces may not be accurate but we are basically looking at the new GX there.

Look up a few posts as this was released this morning and shows all of the rear and most of the driver's side.
They’re going to sell like hotcakes regardless. They can’t even keep the current 2022-23 ones on the lot.
people were rushing to grab the old school model before the new tech model came out. Curious about what the MSRP for a decently equipped model will be. I’m thinking 69k base price.
As I said it two weeks ago, Lexus USA continues to treat their customers like children. No reveal date provided for 2 weeks, images are less clear.

I've already said and so have other people, GX 550 is not a hybrid. Other than your standard vehicle battery, it's not gonna have another one.

It's not accurate at all. It's a lazy, premature rendering. If they just waited to get more clues, they'd have a better idea. One of Lexus' best kept secrets.

This and the LC are really, really special. The LC is like a Bronco one good source says, we should see the LC maybe in the fall. Just not sure if that's reflective of the international spec Prado, which will be less retro.

Motor Trend is pushing out half-assed info. All Lexus vehicles will have a hybrid version, but GX 550 is not a hybrid. There's GX 550h as mentioned before. The big hybrid V6 won't be offered in the GX.

Thanks again, as it's totally wrong. I keep seeing a lot of people falling for those haphazard renderings. It's too bad when you look at the real thing and see it is entirely off.

They're not official at all. Either Kolesa or some other entity drew them up.

Lexus Europe even has better images. USA keep tiptoeing around almost every aspect of this, to the point it took them TWO WEEKS to announce the same reveal date, Europe provided on May 11th!
The communication aspect is very poor and like with the Tacoma. Not to mention deliberately omitting the full image, as if it makes any difference.
Lexus Global should be in embarrassed that this can be easily noticed by the public between their principal market (USA) and another, much more secondary market (Europe).

Yeah I'm not really interested in the boxy look. Couple that with the removal of the V8 and I'll be keeping my 2022 until it's no longer serviceable. Sadly rust will take my 2022 within the next 20 years most likely.
ETA: It may grow on me...who knows. I'm still anxious to see one in person.

Sadly, it’s not an old dinosaur GX without an inefficient V8
fixed that for you. if you want an old vehicle, you can get a used one. the market has moved on.
if you want a v8 body on frame suv, you can go domestic or g-wagon.
