Living with a TT vehicle now, I'm a turbo convert.
For everyday driving in a luxury or a sport car, absolutely. For an offroad vehicle or a pick up, I'd prefer a big NA.

Our Pacifica for instance drives way better than that Explorer.
That's a shame that Ford seems to have missed the mark. Usually Chrysler products are not difficult to beat.

FCA actually makes vehicles that are really appealing from a ride and drive perspective. The Pacifica drives and rides great, and my Grand Cherokees were the same way. Very nice materials inside too, good build quality, really nice paint.
It is a shame that they missed the mark with the Explorer I agree
I borrowed a friend Explorer ST last weekend and I love it. Not once did I think about interior. Everything is were it supposed to be, beside looking like a cop car. Definitely had fun running up against Trackhawks, SRTs & X5Ms 😅🤣😂. It amazed me how this thing move to be an explorer, would I get one for the family No, personal Yes.
Must've been an old X5M because the Explorer ST can't even keep up with the current-gen xdrive50i model, let alone the current X5M. I get it though, fast SUVs are fun to me as well.

Never paid attention to what years, but I tell you one thing, it depends on the driver😎. Most wouldn't dream of pushing their X5M that hard lol. Im sure those suv will run circles around ST. Also this suv attract those type of drivers that know what it is. Most likely you going to get taunt lol.
you might have scrolled too far and posted on the "related thread" instead.
when i owned my LS400 i dreaded having to replace the starter but thankfully it never died on me before i sold it. now i'm looking at a spark plug change on my wife's v6 sienna...same story, intake mani has to come off.
to the topic of the thread, i driven the exploder (who remembers that?) before it went longitudinal engine RWD bias and it was underwhelming, even with the v6TT. i would hope the current gen would be an improvement in driving dynamics.

As Steve and I have both said after sampling the current-generation Explorer.............Keep hoping.
