I don’t know what I was expecting but I just couldn’t get into it. The straight line acceleration was cool but it felt very ponderous and there were so many cheap materials in the interior. Even worse, the wind noise past 50mph from the roof panels was obnoxious. I’m not at the point where I’m kicking myself for not ordering a Rivian though. I think I’ll try the EV pickup game again in a year or two when the EV Silverado and RAM come out.
I'm glad I cancelled mine. I'm waiting for a proper EV SUV/Minivan that's priced more down to earth, which hopefully will be available in 2 or 3 years. I don't know what your current needs are at the moment, but in the meantime if you are looking for a great commuter and a well built transition EV, the Polestar 2 meets those needs. We were invited to a friends house for dinner last night, the total trip was little over a 100 miles. This thing is quiet, comfortable, very little road noise, no creeks, and fast. We cruised most of the trip at a steady 75 MPH, when we got home last night still had 60 percent charge. Plugged it in early this morning after 1am when we got home and 10:30 AM this morning it was nearly fully charged (plugged it into 120v slow charge)

you actually drove one? and at 9000lbs or whatever, no wonder it was 'ponderous'. also putting indentations in the road too most likely. reminds me of this:

Yes as it was the one I ordered. Customer deliveries started in December. It is indeed ridiculously heavy and I should've managed my expectations accordingly, but I didn't. Honestly I felt stupid driving it.

I've taking a liking to the Polestar but currently have little need for an additional commuter car. I'm glad you're loving yours. I'm not desperate to switch to an EV but am willing to buy when the right one comes up. This particular vehicle was going to spend the majority of it's time at a vacation home.

That would have been a VERY expensive vehicle to just mostly park
