I'm really impressed with the Haggerty series though. Great production.
Funny thing is as I grow older I care so much less about numbers of any kind. As a twenty year old I was all about tenth of a second. Today I don't even care about a single or more seconds cause they doesn't make a difference.
Exactly. Once you get to about 4 seconds - 0 to 60, it's fast enough already.
Yeah, a Model 3 Performance beats the snot outta just about everything out there. That's enough for me and that's the car I would buy. But I am sticking with the Mid Range for now...
in the early 00s, all the m cars and amg hit high 4s
within the past decade, high 3s become the norm for fast cars
and now we have cars hitting low 2s, that's fast.
i think we don't care because we are getting old, that's all. but making it irrelevant doesn't make sense. i am not saying it's the only metric to look at either though.
when i gun it in my tesla, my kids don't even think it's that fast
in the late 90s, high 5s in a gs400 gives you the fastest sedan

. I'm not old - I love driving fast and do so whenever it's safe.
. And 4 seconds feels plenty fast.I can't afford a 2 second fast car simply because of the tires I'll have to pay for so frequently. 😃😃

Exactly. I will never do a 0 to 60 run, but I will merge onto freeways, pass cars, get outta jams, etc all the time. These cars flat out go, at any speed.
