2013 G37 Sedan or 2007 750Li
It’s not a 7 series but every year my S class has to have something done and I’ll fork out about $2k on average for repairs. It has well over 200k miles but I love the heavy long wheelbase luxury ride. If you can handle the annual repair costs even with house payments, I suggest keeping both cars and have the G as a backup.
Don't know anything about the Infiniti.
I owned a used 2001 BMW 740 IL for about 5 or 6 years (2007 - 2013) and put maybe 40k miles on it. I loved the car, except every other year I put in at least 2 - 5k of repairs (And those were family prices). Had issues my mechanic (who is my cousin) could never really fix.
Eventually the engine's timing chain had an issue and he didn't want to touch it.
I find BMW at the time had higher quality interiors and electronics than later Lexus models and I really liked their nav unit in that model; however, I have never had to do anything major with my IS-F since I got it ... never again BMW.
I do miss it, but I definitely don't miss the repairs.

I feel the angst in your question. And I love the way you phrased it. Which would you keep and why?
I would keep the BMW.
Why? Numerous reasons. It's a beautiful car, well designed (maybe not well engineered), and hard to find in this condition. It is a car that turns heads, stirs passion. And also, it was a gift from your Godmother. Gifts like this are to be treasured.
Forget about maintenance costs, resale value, etc. Accept the gift and enjoy it, every single day you drive it.
The G37 is a nice car, no doubt, but as you said, you have no emotional connection (you said you never fell in love with it). Sell it at your leisure. You should be able to get a good price for it.

Following up on an old thread. Any update on the cars?
