A Corolla with LS460 exhaust cutouts in the rear bumper. Toyota’s answer to a question nobody asked.

That's the same look as the current hatch. Everyone is doing that ugly cutout crap. Just saw a Mercedes today with it. Not sure why, maybe it adds 50 HP...

I'm not sure it'll sell well here, but nice to see a Corolla with more than 250hp offered nonetheless

Still a rumor (I don't see anything in the linked article that suggests your statement) and I'm still not optimistic about Toyota bringing this to the US. But I sure hope so, as the Yaris version has been extremely well-reviewed where it's been released and has sold out in multiple markets.

If it does come to the US (still only a rumor) I think it would sell. The Veloster N and Civic Type R are selling well, and the underpowered Toyota 86 is everywhere

I dont believe this is the GRMN version. It might just be a stupid handling and appearance package that Toyota and Lexus is famous for.

Are they? I can't recall the last time I've seen a Veloster let alone an N. Civic Type-R has heritage and a strong following so I'd believe that one. I don't really see the Toyobaru twins much these days either, I do really like the new BRZ.

If the GR Corolla uses the Yaris GR's powerplant it'll have at least 257hp which would make it a step under Type-R, Golf R, but higher than Si, more on par with GTI and N.

They should bring back the GT4 All Trac branding that was made famous by the Celica.

The Veloster N does actually sell, not as well as the Type R though. I'm friends with a sales guy at a Hyundai dealership in San Jose, he told me they move quickly. Tons of 86/BRZ's in my area

I'm in the East Bay. Haven't been to SJ in awhile since we can't go to Sharks games yet. I'll keep an eye out for the Veloster

I'm in San Jose too and can confirm there are lots of 86/BRZ's prowling the territory. I almost bought one myself, but after having issues with my Subi Impreza, lost interest. I would jump all over a "pure" Toyota sports car, or hot hatch like the Civic R if Toyota would oblige, but I would have to part with my 85 MR2 and SC430 (or divorce my wife).

There is always the new Mazda 3 turbo hatch. It has 250hp with 310ft/lbs of torque and its gotten great reviews. The interior is also a step up from everybody in the segment.

I have to admit that I've only seen two Veloster N's in the SJ area since 2020, I'm just taking the word of a Hyundai salesmen I know who told me they move quickly. I've seen a ****load of regular Veloster's though. On the Shark's front, I've had my first COVID vaccine and am scheduled for my second one on the 30th. Can't wait to get on with life...
