I in no way have any connection with this site or the car being sold, but I saw this and couldn’t believe it! 2006 LX 470 with only 18k miles
Very easily could be the most pristine version of this truck left on the roads! If anyone has ever wanted to go back in time and buy one brand new, here’s your chance!
If I had enough disposable income this is what I would get. The LX470 was my favorite car to drive. It’s interior is awesome but I agree with Steve that the LS is a little bit better. Very high quality for sure.
Depends on how the LS430 was equipped. if it was a UL then it was better than the 400, ULs had the suede headliner, the leather lower doors and lower dash, none of which you could get on the 400.
Amazingly nice gx... as listing explains it was kept in a colorado garage by someone who only visited now and then, hence the low mileage.
$37K current bid is ludicrous though.
Id pay that if I was looking for one. Had two and they never ever gave me a lick of issue other than they rusted out due to Canadian winters. Cant buy anything nearly as good for 40k

I sat in a new LS430 that was optioned out with the massaging rear seats and wasn’t too impressed with how it felt compared to my then ten year old LS400. I never owned an LS430 so I guess I’m not qualified to comment on them.
Price is absurd, as in this generation Land Cruiser is one you drive the wheels off. Stupid to pay way more than double what one goes for with even lowish under 100k miles. Although I do love the styling, inside and out of the LX470, it has that special bit of "Rover" magic that makes it feel much more special.

Having had both, both are very high quality but a well optioned 430 edges the LS400 out in material quality simply because more exotic materials were used.

Its an auction, the price is not absurd if people are willing to pay it, its the definition of market value. These cars are headed to a place where they're going to be somewhat collectible.
