M gets my vote though AMG has way more cars.

 

It's a tough call, because the AMG machines are gorgeously styled and incredibly quick. However, they're not the "drivers' cars" that BMWs and especially ///M's are in terms of suspension and handling. I'd much rather take an M3 through a twisty back road than a C32.

 

I think that even thought the E55 has more HP right now, the M5 is a better drivers car, as are all BMW's compared to MB's. However, look for a V-10 powered M5 putting out 500+ HP by 05 or 06, according to Car & Driver. I love HP wars!

 

I'd take AMG because I think they'd be more reliable, and ALSO tons of fun.

 

AMG all the way. Love the styling, the power, especially some of the sickening torque numbers the 55s can out down. However, I respect M for being powerful and N/A and that they can keep the prices down. Overall though, I stay with AMG.

If Mercedes ever came out with a manual transmission here in the US, then i'd say AMG. But they dont. If I'm gonna drive a car with as much power as these cars put out, its gonna have to be stick. So my vote goes for ///M.

I pick M. Most AMG cars have too much power for what the suspension can handle, which can get you into trouble on twisty roads. M cars have handling that matches up with power, and the real fun comes with pushing both the acceleration and handling to the limit, not just acceleration alone.

 

AMG Always loved them, no matter which style.
