German tuner Startech gives the Tesla Model 3 a makeover
For those of you who like the idea of the Tesla Model 3 but find that it looks too much like a duck-billed platypus, well you're in luck. The bumper kit you see here will be sold by Startech, the offshoot of German tuner Brabus tasked with creating aftermarket upgrades for brands that aren't Mercedes-Benz. In other words, it should actually be a quality piece. The price tag, without installation, is €1,100, which works out to $1,290. Pricing and availability for the U.S. market was not indicated.
Startech also created a rear bumper kit and an elaborate spoiler that extends over the rear fenders. The car you see here has also been lowered, because of course it was. By German tuner standards, it's actually quite subdued.
This Startech kit is a bit Lambo and there's certainly the matter of mimicking an enormous air intake for a car that doesn't need to take in air. So maybe it's actually terrible, but one thing's for sure: it doesn't look like a platypus any more.
I'm not a fan. I don't love the design of the 3, but at least it has a clean, smooth look to it. This just looks messy and overdone, like they are adding vents and cladding just for the sake of adding vents and cladding.

Looks like it would add drag which would reduce range. I like the rear treatment over the overdone front.
Look better than the factory? I can’t stand the front ends of the new Tesla models, but I guess the newer Tesla’s have to stand out and not be mistaken for a regular ICE car.
Looks weirdly M3ish, very bmw looking front end imo. Don't worry the grills will be needed soon with how hot the packs will need to get during charging if they ever expect to match 550 miles in 1:47 seconds reload speed.

I agree with you about the styling of stock Teslas (except the Model S which looks like automotive perfection). The Model 3 front end looks like a frog unfortunately. This body kit really makes the car look good. I usually don’t care for any body kits whatsoever but this kit makes a big improvement imho.
