We shall wait to see but I still see this been much faster than the predecessor, that has never changed. Look at the M8, a car that big and heavy pulling down miraculous numbers, I know AWD helps but that's not the only factor. All these new M engines are incredible, S58 is much better than S55, soon we shall see the track times. How can G80/82 RWD times be M340i's time. These numbers are conservative, which is what BMW always do. My RWD M340i is what does 4-4.1 seconds in 0-60 and as good as the B58 is, it is inferior to the S58 not to mention the Chassis advantage of the M cars.
Because there is a thing called “traction” on RWD cars at launch. Have you driven F80/82? The car could be 3sec car if it put the power down without spinning. Hence the AWD option for G80.
G80 RWD will be 3.7-3.8 sec which is .1-.2 sec faster than F80. The AWD model will be under 3.5sec.
911 and midengine cars that are RWD can put power down better because they have more weight over rear wheels. Can’t change physics.
I saw the M3 in the green color at the UDE event at Met Life.
The grill and hood are a DISASTER! Rest of the car is ok - i do like the rear with CS type spoiler and aggressive rear diffuser.
Other Negatives compared to F80:
- Engine doesn’t Rev as high
- Much heavier (about 500lbs)
- NOT much faster in RWD form
- 1piston rear brakes
- No DCT
- Rear fenders are not as flared
- Side gill is no longer real just a badge
We recently reported on a special one-off 2021 BMW M4 Competition for the owner of New York fashion company Kith, Ronnie Fieg. It was designed to match his red E30 M3. But Fieg has also designed an M4 Competition that will be available to a handful of regular customers.
It's simply called the 2021 BMW M4 Competition x Kith, and the changes are all visual, with the 503-horsepower turbocharged six-cylinder unchanged. On the outside, the car can be painted in matte black, matte silver or matte white. It receives unique badges that look like M badges, but actually read "KITH." The BMW roundel at the front also gets a border in the M colors with lettering highlighting the special edition. Available as an option is a giant Kith M-style logo on the carbon fiber roof.
The inside is more distinct. The seats feature bright blue and red leather panels that match the M colors. The black leather panels in the seat backs and the door panels have embossed Kith logos. And another Kith logo appears on the center console.
Exclusivity is a big draw for this car. Only 150 will be offered worldwide, and BMW will start taking orders through its website on October 24. Customers will need some impressive bank accounts, too, since the M4 Competition x Kith starts at $110,245.

Laughable. The Frozen Black paint is all that's needed. All that other stuff is Rice. Why would anybody pay over 100K for some branding? Embarassing. Give me a regular M4 Comp in Frozen Black for 40K less and keep all that other non sense.
