You realize that Tesla is a publicly traded company that undergoes a financial statement audit every year conducted by PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, one of the Big 4 accounting firms right? It's not just a spitball number that Elon tweets out while high. This is based on financial statements issued to the SEC and investors.

Enron's figures were also audited....and you saw how that turned out.

Putting out false figures for a publicly traded company would be a serious federal crime. Nothing in Musk's history would indicate he's a criminal. Such a crime would also have to include their financial auditors. Not likely.

I hope not. Anyhow, we got off-topic with Musk and Tesla....back to the Maverick.

An interesting new feature will soon be offered on it...Ford has applied for a patent for a heated/cooled truck-bed system to circulate warm or cool air from the cabin under the bed. It might come in handy for those camping in the open air.....although, to me at least, it also begs the question of why one would choose an open bed to sleep in instead of an enclosed SUV or camper-top. .

This seems destined for EV trucks. It’s very smart for camping. They hinted at an EV maverick in the article. That’s honestly what I prefer. The hybrid would be nice for long trips though. I’m not one that is comfortable with road tripping an EV, but that may be a simple comfort zone thing that I need to change. For my usual commute 96% of the time, an EV is ideal. I really like mountainous, remote vacations. That doesn’t seem to work so well with EVs.

Well Tesla is a public company, so if Musk is publishing figures that are inaccurate, that's securities fraud.

Right. And accountants saw what happened to one of the biggest accounting firms in the world as a result. I would think Tesla's auditors would not want the same thing to happen to them.
