Wow. They are taking this to a whole new level. Lots of cool & new features and lots of features that's well, that's there to separate it from it's competition to justify the price tag.

Got to say, I do quite like it.

yawwwwwn. At least the BMW's and Benz's have some character lines and distinctive looks. There's some nice tech packaged in this but, but the 'giant Passat' vibe doesn't do it for me.

The last Audi S I drove was a 2013 S6 with the 4.0L TT V8. Superb powertrain.

meh

how does the A4 have a longer dash-axle distance than this A8 ?

so much glossy black, you could pull so many fingerprints off of it, make a mold, and jack the owner's phone

Sharp! I have driven a few A8s, they are very nice. Exterior is a little too plain IMO, and the interior is a little too high tech feeling for me.

Out of all the German luxury sedans, the A8 and its variants are probably the worst in regards to the "same sausage different length" stereotype.

While I respect them, I don't agree with the too-plain-exterior comments. That's one of the things I've liked about Audi sedans...they not only avoid radical styling-changes from one generation to the next, but are easily identifiable as members of the Audi family. I'm a firm believer that, if and when you have something good in the automotive world, don't change it just for the sake of change.

I understand the giant Passat POV but the thing I like about the A8 as well as nicely trimmed A6's is the understated reserved less is more styling. Not too many wild styling themes which IMO stands out these days.

My comment was more to do with how an A8 could easily be confused with an A6 or even an A4 from a distance. The plain styling only magnifies the similarities.

Audi has made some really great looking cars in the past two decades- the R8, the various sportbacks, heck even the Q8 looks leaps and bounds ahead of the BMW and Merc equivalent (X6 and GLE Coupe). But their regular sedans are just uninspiring to look at, no matter how big they make the grille. People can throw rocks at Lexus for their big grilles, but you will not confuse an IS for a GS or LS.

Believe me, im all for reserved styling. Look at what I drive. The A8 is just a little too reserved. It really doesn’t look like a $100,000 car outside.

Audi ruined their look. The busyness on the front is especially bad.
