2021 Lexus IS
Performance and lack of new technologies is what drove me away from Lexus. But I am keeping the door open and hoping to return again in future. Who knows, perhaps Lexus will once again release something fresh and groundbreaking in the near future. Until then I will be driving something else.
And it is really hurting their sales and allowing the Germans to just fly by them now. Lexus should not be given a pass even on a Lexus site, they are slacking big time especially when it comes to engines/hp which led to what has happened to the GS and may possibly happen to the IS, maybe LS for that matter.
Yea & lots of lease's as well, BMW just over saturates the market which really depreciates them....Look at all the many trim levels in one model line up & then tack on few options. Bet you don't find one BMW dealer w/ all the different models & trim levels. How many of those BMW's are moved thanx to lease's vs Lexus?

They make $$$ on initial sale and then more $$$ when they sell it again as CPO/Pre-Owned.
A client that Buys a car and holds it for 10yrs is not ideal. That’s another reason all these car companies make their cars trouble free for only 5yrs/60k miles.
Leases are much better for companies.

Yea they do......

Their isnt a one type sales type fits all model in the car industry
I don't think anyone said it needs to be the "best" but certainly better than it is today. I keep seeing posts saying that people are moving away from sedans and into CUV/SUVs, which may be completely true, but I don't see a lot of compelling Lexus SUVs at the moment either, so...
Thanks! I was wondering how they made it work. Interesting strategy. Sounds like purchasing the car at the end of the lease would be tricky, but I imagine most just move into another lease.
exactly... bmw just keeps the train running... obviously flooding the market with used bmw's but they don't care, and i don't blame them.

Anxious to see to what extent the "new" IS is revised. Expecting interior (dash at minimum) redone, some ext panels, bumpers, lights as well, akin to the '13 LS refresh. But not optimistic on new powertrains.

Lexus was scheduled to unveil a new generation of its IS sedan on June 9 but has since postponed the debut. The automaker said in a statement Friday that a new reveal date would be announced shortly.

Have you bothered to check sales of the 3/4 series and C class in the last few months, very healthy.
, but isn't the residual value of the vehicle factored in to the cost of the lease?
