2021 / 2022 Buick Envision
This might seem trivial to some people (I'm well-aware of that), but, to me, having a real Buick red/white/blue shield on the steering wheel, instead of that El Cheapo chrome-outline, really helps to set things off inside. IMO, both the Verano and Lacrosse should have had it, but did not, although all of the Chinese-market Buicks did....they never dropped it for the chrome-outline like they did in the U.S.

Here's the (estimated) pricing from Car & Driver, though Buick itself has not formally released pricing yet.
These prices seem a little high to me, although GM has been somewhat high on their SUV pricing lately.....witness the loaded 50K Blazers. Still, for a Buick, these prices are squarely in Cadillac XT4/XT5 territory.....which suggests, to me, that Buick, along with Cadillac, is aiming the new Envision squarely at Lincoln's Corsair.

One thing, though, that is putting Buick at somewhat of a disadvantage to Cadillac this year is that Cadillac is keeping its luxury-car warranty (6/70 and 4/50) this year. Buick, who had the same 6/70 and 4/50 warranty for a number of years now (a strong buying-incentive) has scaled it back to 5/60 and 3/36 for 2020.....same as Chevy and GMC. An apparent (and unwarranted) cost-cutting move, if you ask me.

Cadillac's XT4 is produced in GM's Fairfax assembly plant in Kansas City, Kansas, USA. For the Chinese market GM does produce the XT4 in Shanghai, China, the People's Republic of China governed by The Chinese Communist Party.
Why doesn't GM produce the Envision in the US also? Since they are on the same platform they could probably be built in Fairfax. They need a third shift there. Otherwise, there should be a large tariff tacked onto this import until they do.

Yes, that's a good point. I had not noticed that until now. Not only the new Envision, but the almost-brand-new Encore GX is more or less the same way...smaller-than-average center-dash air vents, except that they are above the dash-screen instead of below. I noticed that on my Encore GX test-drive......the airflow out them was not particularly strong.
A good question on the new Envision is......where's the shifter? I don't see a conventional lever, E-shifter, shift-buttons, paddles, rotary-****, or any other device to shift the transmission....even blowing the picture up and looking carefully. At first I thought it may be like the GMC Acadia, with the row of buttons under the dash, but no dice.

I guess we'll just have to have a little more patience LOL until we get more detailed pictures or see the interior for real. So far, I like most of what I see, although I agree with Jill that we could do without that inward-tilt of part of the dash towards the driver.
