2021 Mercedes S-Class (W223)
That’s actually one thing I really like about my big comfy cars, driving them is like a calming session.
Yes, agreed. It's hard to beat the comfort of large sedans. My recent experience, though, with the Lacrosse, has been that they can also be difficult to maneuver and park in tight spaces, and to see potentially damaging things like protruding-curbs or concrete-stops.
Yeah mine doesn't get it either. But, I get in my big quiet soft riding car at the end of a long day and I really do feel better when I get out of it than I did when I got in, which makes it worth every penny of the cost to me.
Sure, that just comes with size. Ive been driving big cars for so long though that it doesnt bother me, and surround view cameras and all really help that also.

I don’t want my pulse up, I want it down. I want serenity. My car is not “fun to drive” but it is absolutely calming and satisfying and pleasant, could sit in it and drive around all day.
I had a job years back where I was on my feet for 12 hours. Getting into my car and driving home, I was pretty de-stressed just from the drive.
Yes! People don’t understand this, either. I just don’t get it how they don’t. Yes I demand good performance but I just want a great cruise.

People do "get" it. They just buy what they want. A lot of buyers want some sort of engaging experience....super quiet is not always a selling feature or the final purchase reason. Marketing also plays a significant role in what buyers want to purchase...

I hate to use my car as an example always but in my case it’s way more than just being “super quiet.” There is a great NA V8, steering that has real feel, and killer brakes if you need them. It handles emergency lane changes beautifully. But the mission of my car was to soothe the driver and passengers. Performance is definitely accessible, though.
With a new S-Class it’s magnified like 40 times lol. It is more of a driver’s car I will say. But I personally would enjoy it more just for the drive, cruise, and luxury.
