I say we pull together and try and help this member keep his Lexus. The goverment is trying to take it away, and if we have any info, let's try and help BAZ. If you know any contacts or goverment contacts, lend a little help.

I'd be MAD if the goverment tried to take my Lex away

Besides knowing someone in customs (would be the biggest help), if someone knows anyone who works for Toyota in Japan, it would be a big help. They have compliance data for the SC and the Soarer, but they are stonewalling, and are not willing to release the info. We need a few insiders, please.

If you havent already try 1-800-USA-LEXUS. Its a start. They might be able to at least get you somewhere. Really hope everything works out with the soarer. Keep up updated.

Have you tried getting ahold of MotoRex in Cally? The reason for this might be because they import Skylines (which too are not state legal).. Maybe they can tell you what you would need to do get keep your car in the states.

Just a thought

Thanks for the idea, but I'm afraid thats been tried as well. That avenue proved to be a little short on solid information. I'm not 100% sure that the JDM Soarers that are here are completely legal.

well, not that this is the thing to do, but if i were ever in this situation i'd ****** a wrecked black market soarer for a few thousand, swap vin plates, get a big can of gas and a match, and roast marshmallows.

tell them come and get it. leave the big dawg in a storage building.

That may explain a few of the Soarers that are here now.
