Default fix it ticket was pathetic today.

Hey guys,

Before I bought my lexus, I had teh honda accord. I had all the windows tinted and my dad received a fix it ticket for the front. He was pulled over and received a fix it ticket.

The officer informed him that it would be free ( NO FINE), just take off the tint.

So my dad took the tint off today and went to the municipal court to have it signed off.

WTF they charged him 10.00 FIX it fine and 15.00 Inspector fee. I can't believe this crap.
Just had to vent. What do you guys think of this 25.00 non-sense?

I used to have to pay the 15 dollar inspection fee. But then I found out that if I get it inspected at the police department in the city that I live in, it's free.

I just went to my local PD for inspection on my front license place ticket yesterday. It's free. Last time I went to a nearby city's PD and they charged me 15 also.

Try your local PD.

I know how it feels like.

I got a stupid $10 fix it tix a while ago for not displaying a front plate on my car. Hello?? There aren't even holes on my front bumper, officer.

Anyway, after I had my front plate mounted I simply followed a patro car until it stopped and asked me why I was following them. Then I got the officer look at my "front plate" and had him sign the tix. That was free.

But still, this whole mess that I went through was a hassel.

One thing about highway patrol stations, they LOVE to give you OTHER fix-it tickets while you get something signed off. My friend signed off his tint at a CHP station and they gave him another ticket for front license plate. When he went back for that few weeks later they got that signed off but issued one for his exhaust

Seems like the CHP conveniently cite one problem at a time so you have to come back over and over, each time paying an inspection fee and wasting your time. What pr cks

Bit's not kidding. This is just another form of taxes, made to appear like it's not. The money still goes to the government, so does it really matter what they call it?

Thanks A LOT Gray ! Recall all the WAY !

when you mean the front windows, do you mean the windshield, or driver/pasanger window?
