I would take it somewhere else. I have had dings taken out of aluminum hoods and panels before no problem. The pearl nature of the paint has nothing to do with how likely it is or is not to crack. Can you post a picture of the debt?

Trying stuff like that can make it more difficult or impossible for actual PDR techs to fix the debt.

I would get a second opinion from another PDR guy. That’s definitely worth trying to fix.

One can find anything on YouTube!!! Thanks for taking the time to help me. I will go to another PDR guy. Worst case scenario is the film is removed. I can live without it or pay to replace it.

Exactly. I would replace it if you remove it, because the paint on these chips badly, but I see no reason for you to live with that dent.
