What do you think about this ride?
Went to look at this today
60k, clean as a pin. Any opinions on it? Heard any bad things? Price seem right?

I used to have a C280, it was a solid car, had a few electrionic issues, lights, fuses, wiper motor, and one tranny issue, no rebuild needed.
Still was a nice solid car, i enjoyed it, traded it in for a brand new Mustang GT, the car was just to darn boring for me.

The electronics i can handle, drivetrain is a different story. man it was super nice inside for a 12k car. I expected to have to spend a bit more for the features i wanted, but this one had it, that's why i am looking for opinions.

i would save up another 5 or 7 grand and snag a early SL500...if it were up to me..

I would, but i dont have a need for it. The benz in the pic is pretty much perfect for what i need. very comfy and nice interior plus good on gas. I can hop in the SC if i wanna go fast

-The earlier W202's had a problem with the wiring harness (engine problem causing rough idle, check engine light, loss of power). This cost around 1-2.5 grand to fix. not sure if the new ones got that handled
-The central locking system/HVAC system uses hydraulics run by a pump in the trunk and also some from the engine, this fails after a while of ownership (wear and tear)... but instead of replacing one door lock actuator for 750.00 as in the GS, the operation would cost thousands of dollars because of the hydraulic system.
-The Kompressor in the supercharged/turbocharged C230's were also known to go out and cost a bundle. This is a maintenance item.
-the BOSE soundsystem sucks compared to the Lexus stock system.
-the antenna mast (if electric/retractable) tends to get stuck... be sure to take care of this by lubrication.
-the 1 wiper does not help at all when it rains.
-it does look kinda plain... but just about 2" of lowering goes a long way! Trust me. I did it to my car. It looks a WHOLE lot better!
-There are nice kits for this car! AMG, evolution, JP, fabulous, etc... (get a spoiler.. the AMG one is cool)
-This car looks mad nice when fixed up. Think of it as your next project.
-The car has a very nice muffler sound when accelerating.. dunno why lexus cant get that sound.
