The service and repair end seems more like dealing with, say Apple, than it does any other sort of car company. Think of how much Apple would suck if just replacing your phone or computer wasn’t such an easy option?
.
Having an Apple computer or early device was very difficult to have repaired in the past. In the 80s and 90s there were long waits. The Apple Store only really repairs iPhones and other small electronics quickly, anything else that has a significant issues like a MacBook takes can take longer.

C & D repair was absolutely quick because of the press involved. If C & R had a new RXh and something in the hybrid system failed badly, Toyota would absolutely rush a repair. Otherwise, it could take a long time for the repair at a dealer.

The pitfalls of buying a new brand. It is the chance you take. There are reasons why people buy Tesla models and then there are some that will not. If someone has had 30 years of excellent Japan experiences with reliability, it might be very hard to make a switch.

Yep, totally and that’s because they don’t want to just replace it, same way with a car. “Apple is great at customer service” is what an iPhone owner who walks in with a broken one and walks out with a new one says lol. When they have to FIX your item and you have to wait, it’s another story.
