Where did you get the pricing from?

i only saw pricing from Portugal and it is 7k cheaper than Model 3 and 17k cheaper than Model Y.

it is very close to pricing of ID3 and Kona there and they are econoboxes.

Compared to those, this looks massively better at similar prices. I doubt soccer mom's buying these will be dissapointed with 6s-7s 0-100kmh either.

The article stated that the UX250h decently equipped was $40k. Add a couple thousand at least for the UX300e and it's Model 3 AWD competition which has about 400hp with 325 miles of range. Is the base price of the UX $7k cheaper? The Tesla's come fully equipped so not really apples to apples.

I agree that the UX will probably be more upscale than the Kona and ID3.

The important thing is they made it. Should not be hard to bring it to the US should they decide too.

I think every company producing hybrids or EVs are losing money on these products, except for Toyota and maybe Honda. I prefer that they took their time to bring to market something that people actually want to buy and can afford to buy/lease.

FWD only without dedicated EV platform lol
Lexus continues to take massive shortcuts and further their demise.

Good to hear Lexus is finally in the game. Although not the model I'd be interested in. Waiting for the NXe and more charging stations in my area.

Also waiting for a NXe, or something similar, within 3-4 years in U.S.

Not sure what the writer means about a bad time to bring it out with a Tesla truck coming. First no one considering a pick up truck will cross shop a small SUV. The Model X is twice as much with no tax credit starting 1/1/20202. Lexus Is #1 in reliability and Tesla is #23 out of 30 by Consumer Reports. The same Consumer Reports who rank the Model X as one of the ten worst reliable cars on the road.
...it's not even coming to the US so....huge hit with a tax credit? only if Lexus changes their mind in 2030
