Tesla business discussion
I’m not ignoring anything. I did not enter this thread to criticize Tesla, you decided to use them as a bellwether as to whether another automaker could bring an operating system to market within the timeline they communicated. All I did was point out that Tesla missing timelines is not a rare event.

Innovation is hard, Elon is wildly optimistic if he wasn't then he would never start anything. He's said as much. In fact he said he doesn't start things because they are hard, does because he thinks they will be easy. I strongly relate to this.

That would be a spouse I would leave before they left me. If I make promises no one else is even going to attempt, put everything I have into making them happen and it takes longer than I expected, well the person that left me over that isn't worth a single second of my time.
That exact situation actually happened to me and that's exactly what I did.
Elon does promise a lot of stuff but it's stuff nobody else has done so that kinda makes him an easy target for naysayers, some maybe be deserved I don't know.
Things always seem to take 2x longer than expected, at least for me they do.

How many times should we bring up, "Elon said X and it didn't happen" exactly? No exaggeration to say I've heard this 1000 times by now. Is there anything more to add at this point? Is Elon a terrible manager because of this? Should he fired? What is the next progression in this argument. Should Tesla pay people because they didn't keep a "promise"?

You’re saying he is honest, like the time where he publicly smeared a diver who risked his life to save a bunch of kids in a cave?
and you’re ok with that type of ‘honesty’?
got it.
There's no such thing as an honest billionaire in my book. I had high hopes for Bill Gates once upon a time, but that evaporated pretty quickly.
Still, love the cars his company builds. And still think he's brilliant

That's one of the dumbest things Elon has ever said but how is that lying? Anyway it's irrelevant.
Not sure if this is staged or not, maybe Tesla does need to advertise this nice lady doesn't know what a Tesla is.

. You know what I'm talking about!

Confirmed: GM to adopt Tesla's NACS connector and will have access to 12,000 charging stations. First GM vehicle to have connector in 2025.
