im not sure what the point is for the passenger screen. Impressive that this hasn't been done before but not particularly useful. curious to see what the standard vertical screen will look like.
The Taycan actually has one, too. I agree with you that it's questionable how useful it is. If it could do something like act like a rear seat entertainment and stream netflix or something, that might be cool. The standard setup looks more or less like the new s-class, it looks surprisingly antiquated by comparison.
From an aesthetics point of view, this is maybe my favorite interior ever. Hopefully they'll be judicious with the screen real estate and not try to cram too much information and options everywhere.
Mercedes now in full competition with Tesla and Audi to have the worst designed interiors. What are they thinking with that overwhelming gimmick, it just looks so needlessly overdone with the screen/screens and kind of bland at the same time.
I especially like the ambient lighting around the edges of the seat!
I am a huge Mercedes fanboy but I cant wrap my head around these interiors. I guess this looks better than the S clsss, and even with the vertical set up, it still looks better than S class because of the vents. Let's hope they price this right. EQ brand in US had all this marketing that just fizzled away. When they launch this, they need to bring the EQC and the EQA together for an EV onslaught.
