TLX 6 cylinder is pretty quick, it is not slow, you also have to pay roughly 10K extra to get a 6 cylinder/quicker car from most of its competitors.
Main reason Acura's are getting dinged in some reliability ratings are the touchscreen system which many hate, not because they leave you on the side of the road or things break on them. Parents have owned Acura's for over 20 years and they have all been as or more reliable then my Lexus vehicles including 2 TLX's.

Then a IS350, GS350, ES350 is "slow" too, not just Acura TLX. I don't consider luxury sedans that do 0-60 in 5.5 sec as "slow". They may not be as quick as some of the new turbo 6 cylinders in some competitors but they are also around 10K or more when you factor in options less expensive too.

I agree that the V6 Lexus lineup is painfully slow as performance sedans. They just are. However, they are priced like a base sports sedans. The IS350 is priced like a 330 and A4 and that is its real competition. The Koreans really messed this up because the G70 is IS350 price with S4 like performance. Tesla really messed up this formula. They are now offering the Performance version at $55k before incentives and it would absolutely embarrass a 340, S4, and G70 in all performance metrics (and be significantly cheaper than the 340 and S4). Speed is cheap so Lexus and Acura better deliver because their engine lineup is downright pathetic right now.
