Default Clint Eastwood drives a 95-97 LS400

This is just a gossip column from a day or so ago about Clint Eastwood.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbi...46323643009782

The first few photos I thought, "Man, that's an old Lexus." Then there is a video attached to this that shows him drive off, you can barely catch a glimpse of it but it is indeed a 95-97 LS, you can tell from the stodgy headlights (cleaned up nicely for '98) and the power antenna. You can tell it's a V8 Lexus just by hearing it start. (Engine sounds like it's running a little rough, or maybe it's just me.) I assume this is his car, it makes sense. He's old and conservative.

As a huge fan of the man I thought this was pretty neat. Look at the video attached in this article.

Colin Powell drives a GS350 whatever it is the 2002 or 2004 generation, he just got a flat last week going to Walter Reed.

Ha, Ha. From the image he has portrayed in films for decades, you'd think he would drive either a converted police cruiser or a Hummer H1.

jeez is that what he has to deal with wherever he goes?

with that level of stress following you everywhere i can see why he still insists on retreating to the serenity of an LS 400 to get away from it lol

For a Few Dollars More, great spaghetti western with an iconic title tune

I know, right? Dirty Harry drives a 24 year old LS400. The man is worth ungodly amounts of money yet has a trusty old Lexus.

Oh yeah, welcome to being a star. I'm surprised how cool he was, I mean he's nearly 90 and has reporters swarming him like that.

Lol at your last sentence. As far as I know he lives permanently up in Marin County area, but I'm sure has a house in Los Angeles. My guess is he keeps that trusty old LS in the garage there.

Lol dck Cheney drives a 1st gen GX. At least that was about a year ago when I saw the clip.

These US Government guys sure like (old) Lexus cars! I'd probably drive a Suburban or something if it were me. Not going to be a symbol of America and drive a Japanese car.

I think they are old school where it "is" an advantage to have a reliable car. Pretty sure Powell also likes Corvettes.

On Clint Eastwood, wasn't he just caught with Mick Jagger's 23 y.o. ex g/f in his car? these guys are larger than life for good reason lol

I believe that is where the term "Cradle-Robbing" came from.....dating or marrying someone one-third (or less) your age.

Pretty sure Powell also likes Corvettes.
Like Eastwood, Powell is a Baby Boomer....having grown up during the Corvette's heyday in the 50s and 60s.

So many people seem to think well if you think the good ol' days were better, you're old and in the way. The funny thing is as I have mentioned before, there are a **** of a lot of things that "older" people partaken in, that is not possible today due to basically the earth being blanketed by 1080p. video. The stories my grandfather has, are pretty amazing, I think, no way my son can do that, or me, for that matter. My dad if he did he would not admit. Technology is a big factor.

Ok, Carl Bernstein comes to mind. The guy dated Mick Jagger's wife. Do you really think a rock star today, can do what a rock star did in the 70's? I highly doubt it. I'm too young to have experienced what they did, but I am pretty sure my son is going to experience far less than I did.
