need to eliminate the speedo too and just put a digital number. Completely silly that the computer reads an analog input, converts to digital value for the ECU, then the ECU has to convert the digital value an analog output to drive a needle

Agreed, even in the RC F there's a mode where you can eliminate the tach.

If you've got an automatic or other 2-pedal transmission, and are not driving aggressively, you probably don't need the tach.

haha... next people will be asking for fake tachs in EVs.

the tach in my g90 is about as useful and used as the paddle shifters.

My '78 Malibu wagon had a clock instead of the tach. The clock didn't work.

My mom's '84 Camry didn't have one either--she had an auto transmission:

Swapping in a cluster w/tach is a popular upgrade for 80's and 90's vintage Toyota's, auto or not. It's very helpful to have the ability to monitor the engine.

Looks pretty ugly, then again most SUV's are pretty ugly. Made worse with that stupidly hideous over sized grill the whole world needs to suffer from to appease terrible Chinese taste.

Agreed. I like how the hood is not a mile higher than the front wheel arch, actually much like the also sleek lincoln aviator.

How fast does the engine spin in a BEV? At what RPM should you shift to third?

From what I understand, most true BEVs have non-shifting, single-speed transmissions.

I wouldnt say this is class leading like the XC90 when it launched, but its a great first effort.
Just to be clear the Palisade and Telluride are not corporate cousins of this, entirely different platforms.

I like it more than I thought I would.
