Agreed. I like how the hood is not a mile higher than the front wheel arch, actually much like the also sleek lincoln aviator.
So these are production pics and this is not concept? If so, I'm really digging it and excited to see it in person. I think it's very well done and exudes the type of high end image I'd want out of the Genesis brand. Really impressed.
Clean, classy exterior styling though nothing exciting. Interior appears to not have enough differentiation in design, some parts (lower dash controls/bin), and materials as compared to the Pallisade's. Good for the Pallisade, not so good for the GV80 IMO...

That's a completely different interior in terms of materials - sure it shares a similar design but the fact they used two of the same buttons doesn't make these interiors even remotely in the same class.
We are watching the live reveal. I think this works Haven’t seen the interior yet. Guy has a crazy blue scarf on lol. I think this just might be a threat to Lexus with their RX and GX price points. I do think Genesis will be swimming upstream with the lack of a hybrid.
Updated: The interior looks really good. Will say there are too many circle flying saucers on the doors and centre area. Kinda has a baby Avalon ski ramp tooThat said, overall the interior is a very interesting design, and it appears Hyundai put a lot of effort into this new Genesis crossover.. I do like the two tone leather on the steering wheel, nice touch. Nice matching quilted leather on the centre console/seats.
Genesis IMO has finally got their exterior identity worked out.

They did show some shots of the interior, but not particularly close up. Seems squarely aimed at the Lincoln Aviator interior...same general styling theme, except for the two-spoke steering wheel.

Without looking at the Aviator. I think this interior looks better.

If Genesis uses the same-quality materials and assembly in this GV80 interior that they use in their sedans, there certainly won't be any problem with it.

i'm about two thirds through now... REALLY well done event. kinda gave me goosebumps. very impressed with the event and things like explaining how the logo and design language have come about. gonna see a lot of 'two lines' going forward. new g90 has it now, gv80 will have it, and rumor is g70 refresh will have it. and gv80 and next gen g80 share a platform.
Guy has a crazy blue scarf on lol.
yeah i lol'ed at that too.
watching the design guy now, talking korean, and something may have been missed in translation or he's not very pc...
"A GENTLEMAN'S BACK IS WHAT MAKE HEART'S BEAT, WOULDN' YOU AGREE?"
"I DARE SAY THAT THE GV80 IS MORE LIKE GENTLEMAN CAR THAN ANY OTHER"
I think this just might be a threat to Lexus with their RX and GX price points.
agree. but genesis has got a huge climb with gle, q7, x5/x7, etc.
I do think Genesis will be swimming upstream with the lack of a hybrid.
i disagree. hybrid's doing well for rav4, but i doubt it's a very big percentage of rx sales, in the u.s. at least, and of course the gx isn't offered in hybrid.
Genesis IMO has finally got their exterior identity worked out.
i'd hoped the new g90 would have the new RANC but seems gv80 is the first... a road noise active noise control system that's apparently second to none.
i'm very interested!
