There is somtehing odd/off about the proportions of this car. The back seems too fat in regard to the front.
In this regard :
Mid-engine for $60k would be incredible. Ferrari will shake in its Italian leather boots hah
...will probably not be the case. Also, GM and Ferrari don't aim to the same demographic. You have peoples that will only crave for the cavalino rampante, whatever price they have.
(PS, if price is an issue, never look at Ferrari, until we are talking about a Dino)
twin turbo V8 with 900-1000 hp. Without massive rear tires or AWD, have fun controlling that. Even the Z06 had complaints of being oversteer prone by Randy Probst
There will be a lot of growing pains who ever buys one of these lol.
Personally a used R8 or 911 Turbo would be my choice only because of the crappy build quality.
Prototype vehicles can be fragile, and this mid-engined C8 Corvette mule is proof positive that anything can happen. Our spy photographers caught this Vette in an unfortunate situation while testing in Michigan. While we're not exactly sure what had befallen the car when it pulled up to the gas station, we do know that the vehicle wouldn't start after getting refueled and eventually got towed back to GM's Milford Proving Grounds.

Maybe a spy or saboteur from Ford managed to dump some sugar into the gas tank when no one was looking.
It's not shocking when a car is in developement. Would like to know how many times Enzo Ferrari had to tow one of his creations.
For me, it's important that the car holds up when it's brought to the public. It can break down as many times he wants during testing phase.
