Lexus planning Limitless-based super SUV?
I honestly cannot remember a single time Lexus made a "beater" ANYTHING. Ever.
Seems like all their cars are just playing safe and not a single one is the best in class at anything, especially performance.
They are arguably the best on average, scoring high consistently across the board, but never the best in any one category... "safety", "performance", "build options", etc.

the LFA was also a "beater" just not necessarily always on paper lol... but i agree on the whole lexus rarely makes anything particularly noteworthy, the LC is pretty cool though
Good point. I wouldn't necessarily say that they are beating SUVs, but, around here, pony cars are definitely a dime a dozen. The Challenger, in particular, is surprisingly popular around here, perhaps because of its drag-strip engine options, though most seem to be ordinary R/T or SRT models. You even see the unique lime-green and purple ones, which are not that easy to get.
Exactly! This makes great sense in light of the current trends. It doesn't need 600 hp, but must be really plush, quiet, roomy, and pretty fast. Look at Range Rover as a target. The next Mercedes GLS will also be much improved over the current one and BMW will have an X8 soon. This would make a nice combo with the LC and LS500 at the top end of the range. An F Sport (or F) with a turbo V-8 would cover most of the competition.
