People certainly buy AMG Mercedes with TT V8s.

They are arguably the best on average, scoring high consistently across the board, but never the best in any one category... "safety", "performance", "build options", etc.
well excuse me lol... i seem to remember the first ever lexus literally beating the competition in pretty much every measurable category! (build quality, reliability, ride quality, quietness, general nvh levels, acceleration, fuel economy, top speed, value for money, standard equipment level, panel gap consistency, etc... etc...)

the LFA was also a "beater" just not necessarily always on paper lol... but i agree on the whole lexus rarely makes anything particularly noteworthy, the LC is pretty cool though

Good point. I wouldn't necessarily say that they are beating SUVs, but, around here, pony cars are definitely a dime a dozen. The Challenger, in particular, is surprisingly popular around here, perhaps because of its drag-strip engine options, though most seem to be ordinary R/T or SRT models. You even see the unique lime-green and purple ones, which are not that easy to get.

An F Sport (or F) with a turbo V-8 would cover most of the competition.
As soon as you said "Range Rover", yeah this made complete sense. A flagship "crossover" if you will is notably missing from Lexus's lineup.

I have to say, I drove the Stelvio Q, and it blew me away. It was a total blast in the twisties... I seriously couldn't believe it.

It would have to be as least as big as the LX or only marginally smaller.

This would be a perfect crossover, I really do hope they fix that grill though, as I agree it needs a little more work.
