Yup, that grill ruins the look of an otherwise nice looking car.
I actually don't mind the Camry TRD because it's such a ubiquitous vehicle. I guess anything to differentiate itself from the masses. I've had more aggressive Camry and Accord drivers play with me than any other car brand. I can respect driving the car to its maximum capability. They are pretty slow though
It's a face only Jill can love unless she actually dislikes the Avalon face
I don't have a problem with it. It looks far better in person than it does in pics. There was a time when Toyota was equal with boring, not the case anymore. How well has the Avalon peers done? Cadenza, LaCrosse or Impala..more sedate styling, pleasing to the masses...but cancelled.

The Lexus ES is really the car that dominates that segment. The Avalon is a little cheaper but not enough to have clear boundaries. I wouldn't be surprised if Toyota kills it off someday. I rarely see any in a sea of Lexus ES and other luxury marquees.

More than likely it will be canned. I think they will move the name to become a high end trim level of the next Camry or we will see a cross over like the UX still named Avalon.

I agree. Similar to Hyundai axing the Azera a few years ago. Surprised the Kia Cadenza is still around as well.
Very close base prices
$35,650 - Avalon
$39,900 - ES350
