I just purchase a brand new Lexus 450H. When I am playing around all menu setting, I found out there is a software issue in the system.
When you use MENU -> "SETUP" > "Vehicle setting" > "LEXUS parking assist" -> "Display OFF".
According to their use menu, it should toggle On and Off each time when you select.
However, it does not display "ON", instead it just turn on/off a green light on "Display Off".
When the light is on, what it mean is to active the "Display off" function. So you need to set the light off to set the "display on".
That's very confused for people. When it is on, it can show the yellow warning sign on the display.
I check with some of my friend's ES350, RX350..etc new models, they all has the same issue.
It seems like a lexus's software BUG !
Try your Lexus system to see if you has this problem.
I think it's more of a translation or UI design issue than a bug. It's hard to understand at first, but it's like "Display off" is on, so that means the display won't display.
Kinda like putting "No" before "Yes" in a dialog box in a UI, just makes you think.
Software bug in most Lexus system !
