Dood, get out of this thread if you don't like it. Ive already discredited you. Obviously you like to break the law, not only with speeding but with vehicle modifications ie tinted windows.

Don't be condescending. I mentioned that it was very low-speed. She expected them to get into their lane, and they stopped short. It might have been dangerous for her to go into the other lane.

This isn't a speed-limit issue. She told me where it happened - just past a traffic signal. Unless she was really gunning it, she wouldn't have been going 20 MPH at that time.

Wow, guy. Way to give KC a bad name. It's not that often I find someone else in the area on CL.

If its not a speed issue, its a following distance issue, which is an issue.

And I can care less if im your friend or not. People would kill to have me as a friend, neighbor, boyfriend, son in law, employee, etc.

Yeah put emojis at the end instead of apologizing.

I know we're somewhat off-topic, but maybe my original post was unclear. I was stating that, in rear-ending scenarios, it is always the fault of the person in back, even when the person in front could be at fault such as when going dangerously slow in fast-moving traffic (sound familiar?). This is a shame, since it can be hard to react to those types of scenarios. And yeah, I mentioned there was fault on both sides, but you didn't have to say "there's a thing called brakes". I am on a car enthusiast website, so do you really think I don't know what brakes are? There's this thing called being condescending, and maybe you should not do it.

If all rules are followed I cant think of any situation where a car in front that gets rear ended is at fault. I was always under that the person doing the rear ending is at fault.

As for a tail of a car sticking out, not sure that is the best way to be driving.

How old are you that you get so easily offended? And no im not apologizing because I haven't done anything wrong.

Ok, I have to ask you this. Did the other person cut your wife off and stopped with their tail sticking out? If your wife was behind the car the entire time and still managed hit the tail end then she could've avoided the crash by keeping a good distance and using her brakes. Its one of those things when people make a turn and we don't like to slow down for them. I used to do it all the time and im sure you know exactly what im talking about.

The reason why I represented brakes in such a ruthless manner is really because people aren't using them correctly. People like to "save" their brakes. People don't like the feeling of slowing down, which is why we get a lot of tail gating even on the far right lane. The brakes pertain to why people use the "log" and "flow" of traffic argument.

I was taught in driving school to “brake and avoid”. Many many decades ago.
