5-10mph over or go the speed limit?
Im not technically sure who's fault this would have been but your wife has something called brakes. If she kept a good following distance like she supposed to, she would have seen the rear tail sticking out and come to a slow stop, preventing others from rear ending her in the event of a sudden stop. Or she could've swerve around the rear end safely because she can see it from a mile away.
This isn't a speed-limit issue. She told me where it happened - just past a traffic signal. Unless she was really gunning it, she wouldn't have been going 20 MPH at that time.
Wow, guy. Way to give KC a bad name. It's not that often I find someone else in the area on CL.

If its not a speed issue, its a following distance issue, which is an issue.
And I can care less if im your friend or not. People would kill to have me as a friend, neighbor, boyfriend, son in law, employee, etc.

I know we're somewhat off-topic, but maybe my original post was unclear. I was stating that, in rear-ending scenarios, it is always the fault of the person in back, even when the person in front could be at fault such as when going dangerously slow in fast-moving traffic (sound familiar?). This is a shame, since it can be hard to react to those types of scenarios. And yeah, I mentioned there was fault on both sides, but you didn't have to say "there's a thing called brakes". I am on a car enthusiast website, so do you really think I don't know what brakes are? There's this thing called being condescending, and maybe you should not do it.
Uh, mods? Help?
As for a tail of a car sticking out, not sure that is the best way to be driving.
Yeah put emojis at the end instead of apologizing.

Ok, I have to ask you this. Did the other person cut your wife off and stopped with their tail sticking out? If your wife was behind the car the entire time and still managed hit the tail end then she could've avoided the crash by keeping a good distance and using her brakes. Its one of those things when people make a turn and we don't like to slow down for them. I used to do it all the time and im sure you know exactly what im talking about.
The reason why I represented brakes in such a ruthless manner is really because people aren't using them correctly. People like to "save" their brakes. People don't like the feeling of slowing down, which is why we get a lot of tail gating even on the far right lane. The brakes pertain to why people use the "log" and "flow" of traffic argument.

How old are you that you get so easily offended? And no im not apologizing because I haven't done anything wrong.
