Lexus VIN decoder. MSRP value question.
Hello All,
Im confused, looking at VIN decoder
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/vindecoder.php
Original car MSRP is
Original Pricing
MSRP
$44,620.00
Invoice
$41,718.00
Destination Charge
$995.00
Dealer asking 47K and its 2017 with 20K miles on it and saying its $700 below KBB.
So what is Original MSRP value is ? Is it before all additional options ?
Thank you all.

I believe that the MSRP that is shown is just for the base vehicle and does not include options. That is the case when I use the vin on my 07 LS. It shows a MSRP of 61,000, which is just the base vehicle.
It make sense. Now the question will be how to get to the list of all installed packages & options?
I had a hope I could get it from VIN decoder, but I don't see them listed, only base items.

A Lexus insider could get it for you. I don't think you can find it using the standard VIN decoders.

The MSRP is a no brainer. This is an amount that is made up; it is calculated by a group of people plugging in multiple variables--each manufacturer has its own set(s)-- as to how much they think the average person will be willing to pay. It is meaningless.
The invoice, a.k.a. dealer price, however, is a very useful tool, but only if you are the dealer. Which invoice are they referring to? There are several "invoices", but we only get to see the one they want you to see; it is definitely not what the dealer will be paying the manufacturer for the car.
Like the old saying goes, only 3 people know the price of a car: the manufacturer, the dealer and God (and I'm sure that the dealer doesn't really know).
Unless you are one of those three it is all, at best, a 'guesstimate'.
