The RAV was looking dated so its update looks pretty good. The Avalon has a decent side profile but the back end's Projecto-Butt (Projecto-Butt is a registered trademark of this thread and snide comments and refers to big droopy butts on cars for no apparent reason)
But the Avalon's Soylent Green humanity scooping front end is going to be a tough sell. But you never know. The Forester does not look that bad. It's a Subie, functional and that's about it.
Civic type R tops my list IMO. Its like all those ricer boys took all the trends from the 2000 movie Fast and the Furious and put it on a new car. WTF dude, 16 to 25 year old boy racers can't afford a new car, much less afford insurance premiums. Unless they have daddy money, and daddy money doesn't like flashy fast cars for the most part. They go buy BMW X1's, X2, X3, 320i, CLA Benz, Audi A3, you know the dollar basement $29,995 lease specials for their sons and daughters.
I prefer not to think of any vehicle as ugly, since beauty is in the eye of the beholder: What I find stylistically inoffensive, others find offensive. As an example, I have always liked the styling of older (within the past 30 years) Toyotas (Camrys and Corollas in particular), yet mention these models and so many will vehemently disagree.
I find the new 2019 RAV4 to be inoffensive, especially in darker colours. Picture courtesy of netcarshow.com/toyota

I would not call the Cadillac XT4 ugly; I find it to be rather generic -- with styling cues from too many other models -- but not ugly. Picture courtesy of netcarshow.com/cadillac
I really hope this thread does not quickly degenerate into another "ugly Toyota" or "ugly Lexus" debate. There are more than enough of those already. It is not the vehicles discussed in these types of threads that are ugly, but the self-righteous, I-am-right-you-are-wrong opinions that are ugly.
That one I actually prefer though compared to the "Sport" one
I agree with Hoovey. Regular avalon is OK, but the sport's grill is just downright scary, esp. taken at that angle (and I love all the spindle grills).
My nomination-Honda Clarity. Front half of the car is fine, it's the back half

This to me looks like designers saw the Jeep Cherokee and thought "we can't do that level of revulsion, but I think we can get close".
I would not have called the Maxima ugly until I saw the pic that bit posted. That character line is atrocious.
I still haven't seen anything that can unseat the Juke. Though given how awful the Bentayga is, I suspect the upcoming RR SUV will be a serious contender.
A lot of Japanese cars are just plain over-styled and are obviously aging horribly. It's not that the entire Avalon, Camry, Rav4, etc. are ugly like the Prius, but they definitely have their fair share of unflattering angles. They seem like good designs that just took it too far.
BTW news is saying that the refreshed Prius will be heavily toned down. Now there's not a lot you can do to make such an abomination "not" ugly, but it will surely be less ugly LOL.
