Specifically the v35a-fts v6tt from the LS? I can't imagine Lexus developed that engine to only use it in the LS.

Not much more we can do besides speculate. Considering Lexus just replaced the 2gr-fse with the 2gr-fks in the GS for 16+ MY, I wouldn't say it's too likely unless they plan on dropping the F.

The V6TT will probably be the F model if there is a new GS.

Should we be expecting a GS refresh on the 2020 models? Would that follow the normal cycle?

The GS is supposed to be redesigned for 2019. IS, ES, and LX are supposedly getting redesigns for 2019 as well, although the jury is out on whether those will be 2019 models or 2020 (it's looking likely the ES will be a 2019 at least with the test mules we've been spotting lately).

So is there any truth to the rumor of the GSF being a V8tt with 550+ hp?

I don't know how legit this site is, maybe someone else can comment on that?

I agree.....that would be the most sensible way to go. If Lexus buyers want sport, they can look at an LC or RC. Leave the sedans for those who want traditional Lexus products.

I could see a repositioned GS with the TT V6 and AWD selling much better than the current car

At what price? Although the E class and 5 series have available turbo 6's, the volume is still with the 4 cyl engines.

I'm another who believes that there will be no new GS. I do believe that the IS needs to be slightly larger to compete with the C class, A4, and 3 series so that would make it nearly the size of the current GS.

I am inclined to mention the new Toyota Crown, but I am not sure if this post is just bait.

There are plenty of Toyota models, doesnt mean they are come to the U.S. or become a Lexus. In a sales environment hostile to sedans sales, why have so many sedans in the lineup? Especially ones that overlap?

If it's okay to have very low volume CLS, 6 Series & Audi A7 fastback, then it will also be okay for Lexus to have a better selling GS.
