Do you have any problems seeing out through the glass at night? Dark tint can often interfere with night vision....that's one of several reasons why it's regulated.
That's from the factory, the rear windows on a SUV. That's why I say I don't get it, how come 19% is standard from the factory, legal, yet not legal in PA if not from the factory i.e. aftermarket? The law doesn't make any sense. People routinely drive around
a) With the fronts tinted as well as the windshield such that one cannot see in
b) with either a covering to their plate that is equally as dark, or a bike rack obstructing the plate (give me a break, Subarus are one of the worst offenders)
c) go through red light cams as if they are immune
rlcs are a pet peeve of mine. I have observed how they are beat--many commercial vehicles and pass vehicles go over the double yellow and completely blow the intersection. They have to know that this technique works, I've seen it for years.
Personally, I hate threads like this. We as U.S. Citizens don't get to pick and choose what laws to obey based on if we agree with it. We live in a republic, not a true democracy. We vote representatives into office to make laws for us. If you don't like how they are doing their job, you vote for somebody new next election. If you don't like a law on the state or local level, you petition to put it on the ballot next Election Day. Yes we have a right to complain about laws, but we don't have the right to pick and choose which ones to obey.
I agree with most of what you say, but let's be honest. How many of us actually obey speed limits? And how many of us always come to a full-stop at a red light before we turn right...or at a stop sign at an intersection? And how many of us never use parking-lots, service-roads, private property, or other means to cut-through/cheat and avoid sitting in line at traffic-lights? And how many of us always give pedestrians the right-of-way at a marked crosswalk, as many jurisdictions require? My own driving is quite careful and probably better than most, but I'll be the first one to say it's not perfect.

I break the laws frequently so I am not gonna pretend I don't and be a hypocrite so I agree with your above statement whole heartedly. So yah has anyone heard anything about the law being repealed lol
Also this is another law in NY "While riding in an elevator, one must talk to no one, and fold his hands while looking toward the door." Just cause it's a law does not mean it's a great idea.

I am just using it as an example and saw it on numerous websites that had dumb laws from around the country, if it's not a legit law then I apologize and I was fooled by Google lol
