Unfortunately, AWD would make the cost out of its league.

man I love this design and engine... but I’m so scared of Mazda reliability...

if if the new accord looked half as good, I would be all over it..

Ford offers an AWD Fusion with a 2.7 V6 that packs a heck of a punch, and even then there are garden variety Fusions with AWD available too. Mazda can do the same since they have a popular line of SUV's to bolster sales. Unlike other manufacturers, Mazda doesn't have a luxury line division, so they have the money to spend on their mainline vehicles. They already offer an AWD 6 elsewhere.

mazda no longer has ford parts., and their cars are entirely made in Japan.

I'm not scared of mazda reliability. And Russia is full of mazdas.

Nope. Those days have been gone for a while. The Mazda Tribute, discontinued in 2011, was the last Ford/Mazda rebadge.

That's the same case as with the current CX-9. 227 hp with 89; 250 with 93. But torque is the same regardless of octane at 310.

Sport Mode? 328 doesn't have "launch mode". EcoPro is exactly as it sounds; but Sport Mode is very responsive.

Why can't they just offer AWD as a separate trim level? No need to make AWD standard.

Yea I know the Ford and Mazda ended their relationship long time ago.

MattyG’s comment about the Fusion.. that at the end of the day it’s a Ford..

Jury is still out on Mazda’s reliability I heard. It’s with the levels of Hyundai/Kia..

mazda 6 looks w Honda reliability.. one can only dreaM

Wondering how this compares with current Accord and Camry. This is exactly what the Mazda 6 needs! I loved my time with this car as a rental.

I’m with you on that.. we are on the same team..
feel like the price could go past $35k mark.. then the Q50 AWD is on the same page...

Kia's reliability is actually quite good......up near the top, from several different sources. Hyundai's, somewhat less so.

I hope mazda doesn't make the engine a top trim exclusive.

Mazdas are the only decent cars amongst pedestrian segment. Camry is just a disposable livery junk in comparison.

I've heard reliability with Mazda is quite good, provided it isn't a Ford rebadge(Tribute, Ranger truck, etc). I've looked at cheaper Miatas, it isn't uncommon to find them with over 200k on them, original engine/trans, runs like a top. Same thing with older 3's. There was one SUV they made(CX-7 I think) that was a turkey, had a problem with blown motors.

Personally I've always thought the Mazda 6 was the best looking car in this segment by a mile, same thing with the interior, it looked the best/felt the best IMO. Interior wise its 1 step ahead of the new Camry and was about on-par with the last gen Accord in terms of quality. Haven't sat in a new Accord to compare, but that's one car I wouldn't buy just based on looks alone.

Glad to see they finally put a high performance motor under the hood. This will be interesting to see which one Car and Driver picks in their upcoming comparision test, as the editors there have always had a hard on for the Accord and most things Mazda.
