to each their own.. I disagree, I've had HUD in 3 of the last 4 cars I've owned. the RC-F doesn't have it, and it's a shame, a vehicle at this level should.. So I installed my own.. a NAVDY unit. I never look down at my cluster, if it wasn't there it wouldn't bother me, my Navdy gives me all the same data in my high horizon (plugs into ODB and syncs to your smart phone) and I never have to take my eyes off the road, It has Speed, Tach, Temp, Voltage, as a dash display and with the flick of it's steering wheel attached remote I can switch to phone and see my text messages, emails, phone calls, even what song Pandora is streaming, and with another flick I have a full GPS map in front of me, with turn by turn, speed, distance, traveled, etc.

Everything is placed in my high horizon out in front of the vehicle and I never have to look at my cluster for even my in car LCD screen..

dont really need a HUD if you already have digital gauges. Digital gauges can be read so fast like a HUD...which is a digital gauge

untrue as with hud you don't have to move your eyes, or move them a lot less.

And with the HUD projected on the windshield, you have a HUGE display area to provide so much more (navigation) information.

B.S. in my driving position with my height and size, I can't see the top 1/3 of my cluster, the steering wheel is in the way.. I've had the same issue on every car I have owned.

With HUD everything is projected out in front of the car over the hood, in your high horizon, so my eyes never have to look away from the road to glance down and around the steering wheel.

The only people who ever say the HUD isn't beneficial is people who have never had a car with a HUD in my experience.

I think some people conflate "not necessary" with "not useful". You can get by without a HUD, but you can also get by without ABS, and it's unquestionably useful.
