Default 4 door sedan recommendation

-under 60k msrp
-sporty, non of that 2.0T
-decent room in rear to move in and out

-want to get something outside of Lexus
-already test drove the Genesis G80/90... didn't like how it rides and outside too ugly

edit: I dont really care about reliability as most likely it would be sold before warranty expires

Dodge Charger R/T...although you may be rolling the dice on reliability. But it has what you are looking for....sportiness, some REAL power and engines, and good room in the rear for entry/exit. It also comes in some interesting retro colors..depending on R/T or SRT, bright orange, bright yellow, bright red, lime green, electric blue, and purple Plum Crazy. AWD is available on the SXT model if desired, but you give up the Hemi V8.

I's also recommend looking at the Chevy SS, a RWD Australian Holden design, but they aren't easy to find except at large Chevy dealerships, not that many of them were built, and GM will soon stop producing Holden-sourced vehicles. On reliability grounds, I'd probably buy the SS before the Charger, though it doesn't have quite as much rear seat room (an important factor in your choice), and lacks the neat paint-color choice.

the SRT8 Charger starts under 60k. With 100 leftover 2016s across country, good deals can be made. A dealer in OH is selling one for 42,780 advertised (22% discount)

They're a blast to drive if you like a big, traditional roomy American sedan with lots of power. But reliability may be suspect. And, if ride comfort is important to you (as it is to me), the R/T generally has less-aggressive tires than the SRT, and still with a detuned Hemi with a reasonable amount of power.

Lincoln Continental

+Surprisingly good reliability score. good power. good handling. good seats. roomy in and out.
- MPG, transmission can be a bit more smooth. smaller trunk.

Generally, it matches what you require.

Lincoln Continental? Sporty? LOL.

What about a Cadillac CTS?

Agreed. The Continental is designed mainly for comfort and plushness, not sportiness. And the electronic push-button door-releases are a PITA and awkward to reach.

Interesting recommendation if one likes a more-plush interior than on the Charger, but the Cadillac CUE system is panned by a lot of owners, and the CTS reliability record, like with Chrysler products, is not the best.

since you don't care about reliability

I'll say Jag XF with the 3.5 supercharger

No reliability needed opens up the floodgates, haha.

My recos are: Audi A6, the 400hp Infiniti Q50 Red Sport, Acura RLX (less sporty, but spacious) or go used and find a low mileage Chevy SS (we don't get those in Canada).

A6 might be a contender. Also want to stay in premium brands, besides the SRT

To me its an issue of brand identity, the blue collar nature of "Dodge" as a brand isn't something that appeals to me.

Oh okay. Yeah, I like the clean, tailored look of the A6, and I saw one haul as$ recently very well. I want to say 5 Series too, but I hear they've lost the sporting edge. The CTS is sporty, and I like Benz, but if it was a daily driver, the dusty front brake pads would drive me bonkers.

Have fun shopping!

$60,000 doesn't get you much 5 Series...
