Man, that is nasty! The front is about as ugly of a thing as I've seen in a while. The headlights, grille, bumper, and height up of hood are all oddly shaped, overdone, childish, or missing alltogether. And the lobster claw taillights that everyone hated on the last Camry have returned to be hated here. Lastly, the cheap hatchback styling leads to a droopy and dumpy butt. Exterior is a fail all around. Interior is beautiful though! What a shame they couldn't get the outside right. RIP Accord. It's been a great run up until now.

I'm not a fan of the new Audi A7-like fastback-type styling.
I think Civic looks better, but new Accord will be much more refined with much less NVH if that counts for you.

looking at the pics some more i think it's a better overall design and specs than the new camry.
the 'coupe' back end will provide more rear headroom and likely more trunk space. the hybrid batteries will be in rear seat floor so the trunk won't be compromised.
but regardless, accord is now outsold by both hot selling civic and even hotter selling cr-v and that's not likely to change no matter what honda did.

I honestly don't think its that bad, but I really do like the Camry better, seems like a more cohesive design. I'm sure it'll grow on me.

I'll be interested in learning more about the new hybrid system. Considering the 2017 Accord Hybrid is rated at 49 mpg city, 47 highway, and 48 mpg combined, so a combined rating of 50 mpg should be within reach to match the new 2018 Camry.

The pop tart video screen and push button tranny turn me off though.

I like the front and interior looks good. Looks to me like Toyota and Honda are copying Nissan on their front end designs.

Looks pretty good IMO except the front end. Kudos to Honda to offer MT option on both 1.5 T & 2.0 T engines ! It will be interesting to see how the Turbo engines in the Accord compare against the NA options in the new Camry. Either way both will be great options with much improved style, high tech standard safety systems and Improved driving dynamics.

Ouch. Lifetime Honda owner and this Accord is a trainwreck. I've owned Accords/Civics/Odysseys since 1991 and this, by far, is the worst looking Accord yet.

That front end... it's a disaster.

-The flat chrome piece where the logo is mounted is a bug and rock magnet.
- Everything in the center... .well.. the lack of everything in the center makes it look like it's a car wash nightmare.

Man, what they did with the weight, stance, new motors, tech, and interior was all offset with that front end. Wow. It's horrific looking, lol.

The way the hood terminates into the nose is all wrong it ruins the front end. You don't notice it so much in glamour shots but it really stands out when the car is in motion.

After looking at it a bit more, I still stand by the space alien front end I mentioned earlier. The rear though, the way that the roof and back glass is so swooped, why don't they just make the damn thing a hatchback and be done with it??? It looks A LOT like the new Civic hatch and the old Accord Crosstour. If you're going to go with sort of styling that compromises rear headroom, at least make the whole back of the car open up so its a bit more practical.

Overall I give the exterior styling a solid F. If this new turbo 4 is slower, less refined, and noisier than the six cylinder model it replaced, I will 100% say this new Honda Accord is WORSE than the model it replaces.
