I've been searching high and low for this (LR) door weatherstripping part # 67872-5001, seems the part is discontinued. Does anybody have a source that may have or a solution? Would like to keep the car as factory as possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

discontinued or superseded? sometimes manufacturers change suppliers which results in a different part number for the new superseded part..

According to the 6 different parts/dealer stores it has been discontinued. Many of these sites show as if they have part but after further investigation they no longer have and discontinued.

Lexuspartsnow.com was one of the first I tried, another was oemlexusparts.com... No Luck! You would think weatherstripping would still be available.

 

Checked with my Lexus parts guy in Canada....He says the same thing....Not available part # 67872-50011

interesting, I just ordered a drip rail for a 01-06 LS430, left side, moonlight pearl....that's really specific.....all the websites showed it, $202 list, sell around $140-$160....ordered on eBay for $85. I haven't gotten it yet, but I have tracking info, wonder if it'll be a Brad Pitt....."what's in the box???????" I'm missing two door caps, and wondering if it would be unavailable, I guess I won't know until I try....

I don't know your specific make, but based on the part number you posted I guessed 1991 - 1993 LS400:

6788850012 not 6788850011.

In all honesty the best way to find out is to take your VIN to a dealer parts department and have them verify if the part number has been superseded.

And yes your correct, its a 1993 LS400
