Yes, we know you've never liked those leather boots....you've complained about them before. I agree that they can be difficult to clean down inside those pockets, but, if you're relatively careful inside the car, they don't really collect that much dirt to start with.

now for a stick, i understand having it (my acuras and miata had it), but for auto it's just sloppy and outdated. i know for '17 jeep went BACK to it and PRNDL on the grand cherokee as a quick fix because apparently too many mouth breathers couldn't figure out the simple PRND shifter.
but except the ls460 (i think?) i don't know of another high end luxury sedan that still has the leather boot.

maybe if one barely drives their car or never eats in it, etc. fortunately, the leather boot is going the way of the dodo. my last 3 vehicles (so since 2000 or 17 years!) have NOT had the leather boot (Lexus GS400, Ford Explorer, Jeep Grand Cherokee).
