Hah not a bad idea...though a Raptor Explorer (lighter body) would be more fun, the Expedition closely resembles the F150 from a powertrain perspective....so why not =)

^ The Explorer is a FWD, transverse engine, unibody Ford Taurus wagon, you'd never be able to turn it into a serious off road machine.
The Expidition uses a lot of F150 parts, body on frame, it wouldn't be that hard to turn it into a Raptor. About the biggest difference between the F150 and Expidition is the rear suspension(solid axle on the truck, independent multi-link on the SUV), that would be the tricky part to raising ride height and adding travel.
