All good, but the cover photo is not of an IS250.

It's not my first car and it's not my first Lexus, but it is my first convertible! It's glorious.

While I'm not a big 250 fan, I'm surprised that the article didn't mention how smooth that 2.5 is. It's a very refined motor. It's just too bad it didn't have the dual fuel injection system of the 350.

Plus One. I have yet to be in another car with a smoother motor.

Exactly my thoughts....

Who gets a brand new Lexus as a first car? And that has to be one of the worst ways to spend $40k. 205bhp in a "sporty" Luxury sedan has got to be one of the biggest jokes going around. Add on the AWD and it's easily one of the slowest new cars on the road (not counting the 4cyl econoboxes and hybrids).

It is a great car to have at a young age. There's a reason it's so popular with ppl in their 20s. It looks super cool, is luxurious enough, and has strong brand value.

I have a 2-IS and my only gripes are really just associated w/ its shoddy build quality inside and out, but the 3-IS seems very well put-together, albeit a little less luxurious than the 2-IS due to its lack of interior trim and fake leather unless you're willing to dish out extra $$.

Well to be fair, a lot of people driving new IS' are young professionals a few yrs out of college who are leasing. Not a great financial decision but we all have different priorities.

I got mine pre-owned. Basically paid mid-level Honda Accord money for a low-mileage car that was ~$45K when new.

Is it just me, or most of the pictures included are of 2IS models, and the fact that it's about the IS250 implies they were discussing used ISs since they no longer make the IS250. Not sure where people are getting the implication that they're suggesting a new one as a first car.

I don't mean to defend the article, it's a stupid article as all of these articles are...

The guy posting these must have been hired straight from Buzzfeed.

Dude just posted about "interior upgrades," comprised of adding VIP tables and window curtains to your car.
