LOL 😆. Good thing about it is it's helped me build wealth. Over the years while work colleagues spent their bonuses and profit sharing gains on expensive cars and vacations, I invested them over the years and doubled and tripled them. Because of that, I could probably comfortably retire in a few years (I'm 53). Anyway, I don't blame anyone for not wanting to buy gas from Costco and spend more at another gas station. I just happen to have a high tolerance for waiting more than 20 minutes for gas lol

Costco gas is terrible I get 10% worse economy or more. I'm sure it differs depending on region but here there is a reason it costs less.

I don't want anything to do with costo or the type of people that go to costco. Luckily my wife is just like me, we both value or time and convenience.

They may be nice or not nice, but if you do go there, better park in the furthest end of the parking lot, or someone will likely run a shopping cart or open their minivan door into your car. These types of stores are best avoided like a plague.

Here it is top tier, I've been pumping it in my cars for almost 20 years and hundreds of thousands of miles with no performance issues.

@Och , my wife and I are Costco shoppers, you would love us!

That kind of stuff happens all the time with my wife and daughter. I grew up in LA, and in the 90's and early 2000's sexual harassment was a normal part of corporate culture. I've seen some of the most cringe worthy stuff. I always avoided company Christmas parties because when alcohol was involved, all bets were off

I always ditch them, including this years Christmas party. I was glad last year's was cancelled due to COVID. I hate being around drunk people, you never know who's going to do something stupid. The problem is I'm Director level, so people notice when I don't attend, and I'm starting to run out of excuses

Quote: Every Costco I go to has a crazy line for gas. I personally wouldn't wait but I can visually see the crazy lines. I think you overestimate the value that many people attach to their time.
no, i'm saying people who wait at costco for gas DON'T value (wasting) their time. but hey, if it makes them feel good or happier, all good.

If you think people won't wait to charge an EV, then we will agree to disagree.
clearly people will and we both know charging speed will improve too.

Quote: I feel exactly like you do about going to Costco, but my cheapness gene compels me, and I find myself in line, wether it's a pack of bulk eggs, or a gallon of gas.
so you hate waiting in line for gas, etc., but feel compelled to, to save money. i tend to avoid things i hate if i can. i guess you don't value your time much either. to put it in perspective, the reason rich people 'waste' tons of money on private jets is because they DO value their time. the time they save not going through hours at commercial airports is put to use making billions.

but yeah, since most don't value their time, they will wait in gas lines and loads of other lines, even to save minuscule amounts of money.

Just go early and leave early. You made an appearance.

anyway, this is way off topic now.

You can always make more money. You can’t make more time.

Deep, I know lol

But, with that Lucid air it is so fast you’ll save tons of time getting places (see what I did there? Back on topic!)
