2017 Honda CR-V Debuts!
Volume **** returns to Honda!
At a glance: 2017 Honda CR-V
What: Fifth generation version of the Honda CR-V compact SUV.
Engine options: A 1.5-liter, turbocharged four cylinder engine that generates 190 horsepower and 179 pound feet of torque or a 2.4-liter, four cylinder engine that generates 184 horsepower and 180 pound feet of torque.
New audio system: New audio system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility, and a physical volume ****.
How much bigger? A longer wheelbase contributes to a 2-inch increase in rear seat legroom and rear cargo space that is is nearly 10 inches longer than before.
North American production: East Liberty Ohio, Greensburg, Ind., and Alliston, Ontario.

I've not been that impressed with the current version, but this new one looks like a great improvement. I really like this.

I guess they couldnt squeeze another 10hp from the turbo to give it a little more separation between the two engines.

What on Earth were they thinking with that gauge-panel behind the steering wheel? That alone could be a deal-breaker for me....if I were in the market, I'd probably grab up an end-of-year 2016.....like the one below.

I knew the volume dial would come back -- it was just history repeating itself. Twenty-something years ago, the Gen1 Ford Contour / Mercury Mystique had radios with rocker switches to adjust volume, rather than a round dial. Not too many years later, the dial found its way back.
At one time, Honda was known for its simple but highly effective ergonomics.
Uh oh... Look at that black, unpainted plastic rear bumper. How many people will complain about that -- more or less than the number who complained about the black plastic rear bumper on the pre-facelift current-generation RAV4?

the current model gauges are outstanding.................part of the reason i like Honda over Toyota.
