rear differential service at Jiffy Lube
For better or worse, I get most of the regular maintenance done on my 1998 GS400 at JiffyLube. I had the rear differential service done at 140k, and now at 160k they're saying I need it again, that they looked at it and the fluid is old, that an older model like this one needs it done more frequently, etc...
From what I've seen in the manual and online, if you drive the car normally (as I do), the service is more like every 60k, not every 20k.
What do you guys think?

Jiffy-Lube shops have been known to not only "recommend" service that is not needed, but actually charge customers for work that was NOT done. I'm not saying it happens at all of their shops, but an undercover operation by a TV station in California led to more than one Jiffy-Lube shop being shut down by the state's Attorney General.
